Because of constraints placed on our current public buses and trains, many people with disabilities have difficulty finding transportation, particularly if they do not have full mobility.  Although systems like ParaTransit are in place to assist the disabled, our research suggests that ParaTransit has not been significantly revised or modified in over two decades.  Other disabled transportation services are sometimes unreliable or have limited space and availability.  

Our application, MT4D, will allow individuals with disabilities to easily and efficiently connect to ADA compliant carriers like ParaTransit.  Users can make a reservation directly, then track the vehicle as it approaches with real-time data as to its expected time of arrival.  Additionally, maps will be included showing the routes and coverage zones of the different companies to allow users to plan their tranportation needs.

 Our goal is to improve the mobility and quality of life for many individuals with disabilities, by allowing them to maintain their everyday routines and lifestyles.
